Huda Almazroua
Huda is mesmerised by the digital generative image as a medium, a language and a subject matter. She considers AI as a creative collaborator instead of merely being a passive tool. Through Creative Coding, Huda investigates her positionality and how her cultural position impacts her approach to conceptualising and analysing artistic decisions when practising art with AI systems.
Huda’s work creates a visual narrative to raise dialogue between the contemporary and legacy in the age of the generative image. She aims to confront the past with the present, underlining the importance of preserving ancient cultural heritage and its crucial role in shaping the present and future society. Through Technology, Huda is trying to transmit cultural traditions to create a closer connection with the recent past, perhaps helping us to be more sustainable in the long run.
Huda Almazroua is a Saudi female artist and lecturer at Princess Norah University in Saudi Arabia. She completed her second MA in Fine Art (with Distinction) in 2020 at Chelsea College of Art, UAL.
